TomTom DUO Navigation System

The new TomTom DUO navigation system & in-car docking station
TomTom is the leading manufacture of GPS devices and the new TomTom DUO in-dash, portable navigation system is the latest addition to their award winning product range. The TomTom DUO has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, that displays all the GPS you could want and goes one step further. The system then integrates your iPod, CD player, MP3 and WMA files (utilizing the USB memory port), radio, and Bluetooth in the main system. When the TomTom is docked, it acts as the system’s touch screen, showing the radio tuner, navigation, CD controls, MP3 browsing and more. When the navigation system module is undocked from the main unit, all audio functions can still be used with separate controls on the front panel.

The TomTom DUO supports handsfree calling over Bluetooth, and the dock includes an FM transmitter for piping navigation audio throughout your vehicle's sound system,
as well as allowing external DAPs to be heard through more than just a built-in tweeter.

While the ONE comes with Bluetooth for access to only the TomTom PLUS services, the TomTom DUO will as standard allow hands free calling with compatible Bluetooth phones as well.

In terms of the physical aspects, the TomTom DUO looks just like the ONE, except it has square sides unlike the rounded sides of the current TomTom ONE, as well as some new interface tweaks, that make it easier to use than its predecessors.

The TomTom Duo takes another step along this line of incorporating a dedicated SAT
NAV unit into your audio/visual/navigation centre for your car.
